Kori Carothers FAQ

Some questions come up rather often so Kori took a few minutes to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about her music:

Q: What is that you are playing?

Kori: Its a Korg Triton Keyboard/Synthesizer.

Q: Why is it so big?

Kori: Because its an 88 key instrument. It gives me more tone range and more sound.

Q: Why do you keep touching it before you play?

Kori: It has a touch screen which allows me to call up the sounds that are programmed for the song I am playing. The touchscreen makes it easier for me to use.

Q: Why do you wear those headphones at concerts?

Kori: Well.. I am deaf in my left ear, so it helps for me to hear what I am doing! : )

Q: Do you have back ups playing with you?

Kori: Sometimes I do with percussion and strings in studio. Most of the sounds you hear are from the Korg. I've added new software, Reason 4.0 and that is also helping generate sounds to round out the music.

Q: Do you sing?

Kori: Do you want me to and why? I can hum?!

Q: When will your next CD be out?

Kori: Sometime this year 2008.

Q: Do you play at weddings or other places?

Kori: Well, yes and no. Yes if I am asked , no if you want me to play traditional music. I play my own music...so if you are looking for someone that plays other peoples music, I am the wrong one to ask.
